The challenge

Home ownership is out of reach for too many Australians. Traditional models haven’t kept pace with modern life. Dwell is a new approach, rethinking how we live, build and invest in housing. It’s about making ownership more accessible, sustainable and future-ready.

The Solution

Dwell supports co-ownership, modular homes and shared neighbourhood resources. And we didn’t just imagine a better way to own - we built it. At Iron Hill, our living prototype, we designed adaptable homes that flex with family needs, introduced co-ownership financing that lowers the barrier to entry and created digital tools to manage shared equity, costs and contributions with transparency. We tested shared gardens, tool libraries, and communal meal prep to reduce both isolation and cost of living.

Living at Iron Hill changed how I see home. The housing crisis isn’t just about money - it’s about how we design our lives. Through Dwell, we’re testing real solutions that make ownership more possible and life more connected. The problem is significant, but so is the opportunity to reimagine what home can be.
